Obama is definitely in support of abortion, that was never in question.

I'm simply wondering how people can say they are supporting both the gov't run health care and be "Pro-Choice". It is inconsistent at best. It's as inconsistent as being "Pro-Choice" and anti-death penalty. Both positions kill a human being.

The government run health care is PRO CHOICE.
That is consistent. He wants tax payers to FUND it through his government plan. To be “pro choice” is to support abortion - there is no inconsistency there. Either you are for it or you are against it. Oh, I know, some will say but “I wouldn't have an abortion ...” but they support OTHERS to having one. That too is inconsistent and hypocritical.

“It's as inconsistent as being “Pro-Choice” and anti-death penalty. Both positions kill a human being.”

There is NO inconsistency in being AGAINST abortion

and

FOR capital punishment.

Abortion is taking the life of an INNOCENT human being.
These innocent souls have not done anything wrong and innocent beyond any reasonable doubt.

OTOH capital punishment is reserved for only the most heinous that are GUILTY beyond ANY reasonable doubt. There has NOT been ONE person put to death that was INNOCENT. Not one person has even been proven to be INNOCENT that was put to death - NOT ONE! What they do is try to sew doubt so you will NOT punish the most heinous.

Haven't you seen the pattern? LIGHT on punishment and kill the infant? They strive to protect the most heinous people.

Capital punishment IS a deterrent to most criminals. There are some that won't heed that threat but that doesn't mean we should not have the threat in place. Punishment should discourage crimes. Today our punishment is becoming a joke. Criminals often have more RIGHTS than the VICTIMS. We need capital punishment for those that are terribly EVIL. There are many that will never be “rehabilitated”. They are too far gone. It's not a punishment we give often. People EARN it and then there is the appeal process that often outlives the person GUILTY beyond any reasonable doubt. So being against abortion (the innocent beyond any reasonable doubt) and the EVIL ones that are GUILTY beyond any reasonable doubt is logical. Comparing apples to oranges and ignoring the differences, innocent and guilty is what some don't seem to register.

BTW, from a Christian perspective, capital punishment is Biblically correct.
