politicsdaily.com ^ | 9-9-09

Sixteen years ago this month, a youthful Democratic president with a job-approval rating hovering around 50 percent stood before Congress to make an impassioned plea for health care reform. As Bill Clinton mounted the rostrum and looked out over the House chamber, he discovered to his horror that a seven-month-old speech on the economy was whirling through the teleprompter instead of the health care text. For the next seven minutes, until the correct floppy disk was inserted into the teleprompter, Clinton confidently vamped before Congress and the nation as if all were going rhetorically exactly as planned.

That teleprompter had more integrity than Bill Clinton (quelle surprise). One hopes that tonight’s teleprompter comes from the same lineage.

His health care speech is a great hope. I hope somebody screws up and puts the wrong speech on the teleprompter, and Obama first cluelessly reads it verbatim, then, realizing his trouble, hesitates, hems, haws, panics and falls apart in front of all the major networks. His approval ratings hit single digits, his approval index goes into the basement and stays there. In 2012, he’s just barely nominated, but crashes and burns before the combined might of whomever. What a great hope.

The difference is Clinton could talk without a teleprompter. Obama can't.

My prayer is that he go HARD LEFT tonight in his Health Care (If I hear those words one more time I will BARF) - Uncontrollably HARD LEFT. And HARD Left uncontrollably with his Progressive/Liberal friends till America repents of it’s Adultery, the Murder of the Unborn, and Lawlessness.

He and the Democrats should offer to give up their health care benefits, and rely solely on whatever health care plan they pass. That would show me that they are at least sincere in wanting to make things better.

Re pic in Post 5:

Shouldn’t that be turned upside down, so it reads “666 instead of “999”?

If the wrong speech went up on the TP Hussein probably wouldn’t even notice until someone tells him.

"Blessed Theodore Kennedy made Communist health care his life's work, and now he's dead. His family is here with Michelle and Pelosi, and they are sad because he's dead. They want and all patriotic Americans want Communist health care.

Here's Tiny Tim, who has a very nasty disease. Tim is only 3 years old, and Blue Cross has denied him a crutch with which he could hobble around with his cute little puppy, Teddy. He named his puppy after Blessed Theodore Kennedy, whose grieving family is sitting with Michelle. So for Timmy, For Ted, and for the sake of our country, vote for Communist health care."
