LANCASTER, Pa. — Horses drawing buggies regularly clop down the roads approaching Lancaster, a peaceful city in the heart of Amish country that had only three murders last year and relatively low crime.

But if the community sounds reminiscent of the past, it also has some distinctly modern technology: 165 surveillance cameras that will keep watch over thousands of residents around the clock.

When it is complete, the surveillance system will be bigger than those in large cities such as Philadelphia, San Francisco and Boston. And the fact that it will be monitored by ordinary citizens has raised privacy concerns

Have you ever driven through downtown Lancaster? It's a drug-infested ****hole.

You know, I’m not looking forward to the collapse of civil order in our country. Even though I know it’s going to happen, and that it has to happen, I dread the thought of it for the sake of my family.

One thing about the Big Collapse that I am looking forward to, however, is my chance to rid our city of those g—d——d surveillance cams. Once the Collapse starts I intend to plink every one of them with my .22 squirrel gun.

As for the cams in the story: when the Power Structure starts chipping everybody in the name of “national security”, the Plain Folk will refuse. The cams will be used to turn their country into a containment zone.

What is also of a concern is the mental make up those who wheedle and convince towns to install them PLUS the people who gladly monitor the cameras. Who’s watching the watchers?

Living near Lancaster we often motorcycle through the city on our day trips. NO MORE. The bypass will do just fine.

I live in York, PA, about 25 miles from Lancaster. All these small cities in Pennsylvania are run by liberals who will do anything but turn the police loose to run the scumbags out of town. Every one of these cities is experiencing a horrible wave of violent crime. These cameras are up so that they can think that they don’t have use the police.

I narrowly escaped a mugging and a beating about three weeks ago in the heart of downtown York, on a Saturday morning at 8:00AM.

"The American Civil Liberties Union also objects to the project, especially since it covers the entire city — not just high-crime areas."

Of course if they only targeted high-crime areas the ACLU would object to racial profiling.

.22 isn’t going to do much carnage. I like the .22-250 because it would vaporize that camera pod. And you could take it out from a ways away.
