Once you agree to live within a Nation, you have to adhere to their societal compact - called laws and legislation and mores. You CAN always move elsewhere if you don't like that particular societal compact. Think Switzerland, Cayman Islands, Costa Rico, shall I name more you can move to?

Not sure I can argue that point.
