For those who do NOT know..”Evening n Byzantium” is a TV—movie from 1978.It starts out as a “somewhat boring, soap-opera-style movie, about a man making a movie about a “terrorist attack in America with small nukes”..But it ENDS UP—with terrorists acquiring 3, 20+kt nukes.(BIGGER than “suitcase nukes”)...putting them on planes...and flying them OVER...NY, DC, LA, and planning to detonate them!! Of course....in this movie..the “hero” Glenn Ford..IS able to “save the day” in the ‘nick of time—and the planes are shot down, JUST before they can detonate the warheads.
I HAVE this movie...but it is VERY hard to get...and is NEVER shown on tv (no doubt...for obvious reasons..)
Now...if I was the president...I would have ‘sent out a warning” to other countries...that if ANYTHING happened to any of our cities—that remotely resembles 9-11—again....THEN a Trident sub WILL be dispatched to the last known Location of Osama...and ONE missile WILL be “delivered’ to that location...
Maybe something like THAT would “give them pause”..knowing that 200k+ of their “friends” would “vanish” in a bright flash...
