Dr Pete Peterson’s video on ATS noted that he was told festivities would start in 2001. He’s been in his mountain safe-haven since 1997?
He is certainly well connected enough with the PTB having done and still doing projects for them.
As I’ve thought all along, it’s a very complex situation and a complex decision tree/process.
And that doesn’t even take into account God’s dinking with the destroyers’ plans and means.

It sure feels to me like the next 30-60 days are far more hazardous than ever before. All the more so vis a vis Israel and Iran.
Then there was the famous UFO researcher’s contention later denied that she’d said such—that the PTB were trying to hold things together until 2012.
Seems to me like 2010 “Selection” would prove to be far too problematic for them if they don’t begin festivities before then and cancel it with martial law.

Yes, the "festivities" will start at some point. By "festivities", I'm taking that to mean, that Rapture of the believers in the Messiah of Israel (for one thing) and then the start of the 7-year Tribulation time period, spoken about in Daniel (for the second thing).
The "Rapture" is explained in this FReeper thread -- The Rapture [RAPTURE CAUCUS] for anyone who may not know.
The Rapture happens prior to the beginning of the 7-year Tribulation period of time (at least accorcing to those who see it being a "Pre-Trib Rapture"... :-) ...), and then the beginning of the 7-year Tribulation is marked by the covenant that the Antichrist signs or enforces -- which gives some kind of "protection" for Israel and basically "settles" the issue between the Palestinians and Israelis (at least that's what everyone at the time will think, but they'll find out it's a false peace by a false leader, the Antichrist).
So, how close are we to that point? Well..., the Bible does say that the Rapture is not known as far as the timing, but that it happens prior to the Antichrist coming forward and taking control over the world. All we can see right now is that things are getting "set up" for such a world-wide takeover and world-wide government. It's not exactly clear how long it will be.
But, I think we can all see that it's going to be something that we'll get to see for ourselves and it won't be something that happens a hundred years after we die... LOL...
My personal opinions for the "unknown timing" of the event called the Rapture -- is -- it could be anywhere from this week to a decade from now. Probably not more than a decade. And then the 7-year Tribulation period of time and the Antichrist taking control will be shortly after that, within days or a month or so.
My favorite guess, however is around 2011... :-) ... and that's what it is, a "guess"... because that's all it can be, as the Bible makes it abundantly clear that it will not be known down to the hour or day (but only as to the "season" that we are in, as in the general time frame -- and that general time frame is now...).

I still see too many things not quite in place yet. So, while things can get worse by the day and month (and they will), it doesn't mean, necessarily, it's about 30-60 days from happening. We could have a few cities nuked and go into an economic collapse, and it still might not be the right time, yet. So, I'm less inclined to think that something like the Rapture and the beginning of the 7-year Tribulation is 30-60 days from now. But, I'm ready to go, whenever it happens and Jesus comes back to take me out of this world, which is what the Rapture is...

Since so many people are speculating on 2012 and almost everyone and their dog and cat (and pet fish) thinks that someone is going to happen in 2012 -- that's the least likely time in my viewpoint... LOL...
If it doesn't happen in 2011, then forget about 2012 and things will settle down and everyone will forget about it for a few years after 2012, and then it will happen suddenly, when no one is thinking about it any longer... :-)

Well, if martial law did happen and the entire U.S. collapsed and a few cities in the U.S. got nuked in the process, and everyone was dying and scrounging around to survivie -- that still wouldn't mean that the Tribulation time had arrived. That sort of stuff has happened with countries over and over again, throughout history. What happens here in the U.S. is not the "time clock" for what God is going to do with Israel. The U.S. doesn't really have too much to do with that. So, maybe the U.S. will sink down into oblivion, while things are still "developing" over in the Middle East and with Israel and with what God's plan for Israel is. It doesn't all have to be related to what is going on in the U.S. ...
