Good Morning Class. Welcome to School!

Here is my example with WFTD.

Others talked about Van Jones and his commie problems, but it was Glenn Beck who laboriously brought to light the Marxist in the WH, indicting him with video of his own words.

LOL!!!!!!!

Actually, the only thing I’ve got left to deal with is clothes. Unfortunately she had a huge growth spurt this summer and even some clothes and shoes I bought over the summer no longer fit her. And yes, I did plan on a certain amount of growth -— but YIKES!!!!

She grew 4 inches, put on 15 pounds, increased her shoe size by 1 1/2 sizes, and acquired HIPS.......

I’ve got to stop feeding this child :)

the “big kids” aka middle schoolers generally wear jeans and tshirts to school. if she only has one pair of jeans you can wash those midweek and no one is gonna know it’s the same pair. xsbrownie is the only one not to have a uniform, but jeans and tshirts are a uniform in and of themselves, every bit as much as khakis and polos which is xsboy’s school uniform.

LOL!!!

Attitude is not a problem at all. She's really excited. Until Friday I had never set foot in our middle school, only the one at the south end of the county. YEAH, both schools are laid out identically, and FAR, FAR easier to navigate than the elementary school.

Even though she had spent 6 years in that school, I still got lost nearly every time I went in there.

ROR!!!! I have spent the better part of the summer trying to explain to her that jeans need not be washed after each wearing, unless something has been spilled on them or they are otherwise stained (ie mud or grass or paint)

Just about everything we've been dealing with are jeans and khakis, however she has some that are just fine in my opinion for around the house, or even going to the store with me, but I will NOT send her to school in them.

On the bright side, she has declared some not fit for school even before I saw them. She's not real comfortable yet with the "new body" and has been digging for shirts that she can wear that don't have to be tucked in.

has she gotten her period yet? i would put something in her backpack to keep in her locker just in case. i am sure the school will have stuff but i imagine she’d rather not make it an issue and just take care of it herself.

I was thinking about just that thing. No she hasn’t started yet, but with all of the other major physical changes she has undergone this summer, I don’t expect that to be far behind.

Because it took so long for her to get the DTP vaccine, the first stop we had to make Friday was the nurse’ office. I was rather impressed with her and how she treated the students and parents. I guess it goes along with the idea of them now being “big kids.” She introduced herself to Jax and spoke with her, introducing herself to me definitely took a back seat. Of course you both know of my “dealings” with the school nurse in the past!!!!!

their greatgrandmother died and they want that house......no one else in the family wants it. so they are planning to sell here and move into that house. I imagine it will add about ten minutes to a one way commute for their dad. I told their mom that she will need to set up a guest room for us......as I will want to see them a lot!

Guest rooms are GOOD -— as are family homes.

I had a shorter than usual walk today-my daughter and her husband are coming to spend the day, and I had to get ribs out of the freezer and make a salad-

The laborious task of exposing
Obama’s bolshevik bunch
Has gotten much less difficult
Since Beck threw his punch

And got obnoxious Jones ousted
From his cushy, lofty post
I can’t wait to see which czar
Will next be turned to toast

Someone needs to tell Obama
To give his ego a vacation
Presidents are only inaugurated-
It is NOT a coronation

My daughter and I were talking yesterday about the first school day of the year-she was saying what fond memories they were for her, and I was remembering them as hectic, ratrace days where something always was forgotten, no matter how many notes I made...

Too Funny!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy (belated) Birthday, my FRiend.

Tomorrow morning is definitely NOT going to be a first morning fond memory - for any of us. It wasn’t until we were back from school that I realized I had totally spaced out taking care of the bus situation. I haven’t had to deal with that for a few years. Because my car is out of commission, we went to school with a friend and I had no way of getting back there for the afternoon session.

So I have no clue if the bus is going to pick her up in the morning or if coolbreeze is going to have to take her and deal with the situation so she gets on the bus to come home. He’s not real thrilled knowing he’s going to wind up being 45 min to an hour late getting to a job site -— but if had gotten my car fixed it wouldn’t be an issue :)
