"I pledge allegiance to the earth and all the life which it supports. One planet, in our care, irreplacable, with SUSTENANCE and RESPECT for all"

This kind of propaganda blows my mind. Speaking of respect, what happened to reading writing and arithmetic? Are those now outdated because the schools have to propagandize so much?

It seems to me that with the amount of propaganda that the schools try to fill our kids heads with, all they're truely doing is admitting to the weakness of their position. If liberalism was really such a strong and winning argument, then they wouldn't need to inculcate kids with such a machine.

Their arguments do not stand on their own, and they know it.

The teacher who put this up needs to have a teachable moment.

Somehow, I doubt this teacher really has allegiance to all life....

Why is being a good steward of the earth a liberal value? Don’t conservatives value the earth and all its provided for us just the same? Hasn’t God commanded us to do this very thing?

I don’t mean that we have to celebrate earth day and hug trees, but it seems that its in our own self interest to preserve the earth for ourselves and future generations. Conservation is a conservative value. And really, besides the challenge this presents to the pledge of allegiance, which is perhaps a little snarky, I don’t see anything in here language-wise that any conservative couldn’t agree with.
