You know what breaks my heart? Not only what these boys have done, but what they have gone through, how they have been (not) cared for their whole lives. No one in their whole world that probably ever nurtured them, hugged them, tucked them in, came in when they cried in the middle of the night, told them they were special and made them feel loved, even when they were little guys. Just having one person like that in a child’s life can make such a difference.
That's not necessarily true; some people are just barbarians, even at that tender age.
