All depends on the price of petrol. If gas is 4 bucks or more, the average 15k mile per year cost savings will be $2000 per year. At a 100k lifecycle for the car fuel savings will be $14000. 150k will bring a 20k savings. Plus add in the $7500 gift from Dear Leader and you have a car that makes economic sense.

Makes no sense to me. Last time gas was 4 bucks a gallon I bought another big, evil SUV with 20,000 miles on it for 9,000 cash that holds 8 passengers and does a helluva job in New England Winters.

Now I'm too pay 40K for a Corolla with a battery pack that costs about half of what the car goes for if it craps the bed.

No thanks.
