A big factor not discussed is
We already have everything we need already!
Geezz, louise, enough is enough!
I have about 8, I love them all, but I'm not gonna buy anymore.
Anymore anything, now that I think about it.
I'm tired of being blamed as a "consumer" for not "consumin'" and bringin' down the economy, somehow I don't 'tink it's my fault?

I have only one which is all I need. It’s called the ‘Rushpod’. I use it to blast Rush directly into my brain.

I need a new one, with enough memory for all of my songs. But I've heard a couple of the newer iPods through my headphones and I could swear they don't sound as good as my old 5G iPod. Maybe a new DAC or something.

As far as a music player goes, yes it’s enough already.
Thing is: it’s not just about playing music. Or videos. Or games.
The iPod Touch platform is much more (yeesh, I sound so ditzy). Mine has supplanted my notebook (i.e.: main) computer by about 90% - and it wouldn’t take much to push that to 95%, or even 100%.
