On Thursdays Good Morning America, for the third time in two years, Sam Champion interviewed an extreme environmentalist who shunned toilet paper for a year as part of a project to be carbon neutral. Colin Beavan, also known as "No Impact Man," appeared on the show to promote a new documentary and book on his experience. This time, however, Champion downplayed the bizarre elements of Beavans life.
The host made no mention of the fact that, in addition to not using amenities such as elevators, cars and electricity, Beavan also stopped partaking in the practice of using toilet paper. (This aspect was noted on ABCNews.com.) Champion did refer to the project as a "year-long experiment in living extreme green." But, the ABC weatherman skipped any discussion of the left-wing nature of Beavan's life...

Colin Beavan and Sheryl Crow have much in common
and his child Isabella “running in the fountain” oh for pete’s sake this is so liberal leftard drivel it just makes me wanna’ gag
Yes, my children ran thru “the fountain” , too, in our backyard with the hose turned on.
My grandparents lived in a sod house in northwestern South Dakota 100 years ago. Needless to say the “house” had no running water, modern plumbing or electricity. I guess I would have to go back to the way my grandparents lived as to not hurt the planet. However I was wondering if burning prairie grass and buffalo chips in the stove emits too much CO2?
Living things just move carbon around within the biosphere. They neither add to it nor remove it, in the long run.
Burning of fossil fuels is the only significant way the net carbon goes up. I don't there is at present any process in operation that removes significant amounts of carbon from the biosphere in a long-term sense.
Everyone better learn how to recognize poison oak and poison ivy, because before the libs are done, we could be back to using leaves.
None at all, in the global warming sense.
Whether the grass or buffalo chips decay or are burnt, exactly the same amount of carbon re-enters the air.
I wonder if they bothered to shake his hand?
And don’t forget poison sumac.
Sorry, I can't consider Sam extreme until he stops breathing for a year. Then he would be carbon neutral.

“y grandparents lived in a sod house in northwestern South Dakota 100 years ago. “
That would be some grim conditions. Most of us haven’t a clue how good we do have it.
