Why are you correlating drinking with lower moral standards?

I think it depends on a lot of variables.
A teacher who is friends with the family of a student drinking at a social gathering where the student is present shouldn’t be strictly forbidden. It wouldn’t be a good idea for the teacher to get hammered, but that is true of all the adults there.

Why are you correlating drinking with lower moral standards? While there is certainly a clear connection between drinking and immorality, I wasn't referring specifically to responsible drinking. My post was just a more general comment on the declining or outright missing moral standards applied to teachers today.

Four of the teachers put a gun to their heads and killed themselves. High velocity round with the four of them lined up ear-to-ear?

Back in my day, if a teacher didn’t actually drink in class it was considered a win.
