Fiddler on The Roof (If (only) I were a Richman!)
Fight Club (Without the soundtrack, the movie would not have gained its cult status)
The Falcon and The Snowman ( Pat Metheney Group with an artist named David Jones)
The Fountain (Emotional, eerie, fascinating and well listen)
A Fistful of Dollars and For A few Dollars More ( Morricone!)
Forest Gump ( In perfect tandem with Tom Hanks at his VERY best)
Finding NeverLand ( Jan Kaczmarek!)
Fantasia ( A bit of a no brainer)
Fast Times at Ridgemont High (Possibly the best of the 80s compilations)
Footloose (Im Free!)
The First Great Train Robbery
Freaky Friday
Full Metal Jacket
Fargo
French Kiss
Face Off
Fried Green Tomatoes
The Fabulous Baker Boys
The Forgotten
Factory Girl (songs by the Count Five, Pretty Things, and some group called the High Numbers who went on to do pretty good music of their own after they changed their name)
Fahrenheit 9/11 (yeah, I know I shouldn’t even have watched this but the songs, the songs: Rockin’ in the Free World, Aqualung, and the themes from The Magnificent Seven and Peter Gunn, among others)
Freddy Got Fingered (not a good film, but worth listening to the Sex Pistols, New York Dolls, Iggy Pop, and the Ramones)
The Freshman (Maggie’s Farm performed by Bert Parks, ‘nuff said)
Funny People (Warren Zevon, Wilco, James Taylor, and each of the four Beatles solo)
Flashdance (What a Feeling, Maniac, Gloria...it was the 80s, man)
Friday Night Lights (ZZ Top, Poison, Public Enemy, and good stuff by Texas instrumentalists Explosions in the Sky; the TV series also has a fantastic soundtrack)
Funny Girl (even though it is Streisand, a classic musical with People, Don’t Rain on My Parade, and Second Hand Rose)
500 Days of Summer (Regina Spektor, The Smiths, Hall and Oates, and France’s First Lady, Carla Bruni)
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Something familiar, Something peculiar, Something for everyone: A comedy tonight!)
LOTS of excellent choices, and I agree with Farenheit 911 too!
