For those who rocked in the 80s, here is a flashback that seems very appropriate today. Living Colour- Cult of Personality from 1988.
If I had the skill, I’d do it.
I have some great visual ideas, but, alas, I am a child of the 60’s who was dragged kicking and screaming into the Internet era.
they are actually on tour right now, playing in FL in a couple weeks. I had not heard a word from them in probably 10-15 years now, and was surprised to see them playing a show.
I’m a child of the 80s with all the technology and programs but not the free day to set aside for it.. but you did give me an idea..
Ruh roh!
I’m kind of partial to the whole ‘black’ album!
DON’T TREAD ON ME - Metallica
Liberty or death, what we so proudly hail
Once you provoke her, rattling of her tail
Never begins it, never, but once engaged...
Never surrenders, showing the fangs of rage
Dont tread on me
So be it
Threaten no more
To secure peace is to prepare for war
So be it
Settle the score
Touch me again for the words that youll hear evermore...
Dont tread on me
Love it or live it, she with the deadly bite
Quick is the blue tongue, forked as lighting strike
Shining with brightness, always on surveillance
The eyes, they never close, emblem of vigilance
Dont tread on me
So be it
Threaten no more
To secure peace is to prepare for war
So be it
Settle the score
Touch me again for the words that youll hear evermore...
Dont tread on me
So be it
Threaten no more
To secure peace is to prepare for war
Liberty or death, what we so proudly hail
Once you provoke her, rattling on her tail
So be it
Threaten no more
To secure peace is to prepare for war
So be it
Settle the score
Touch me again for the words that youll hear evermore...
Dont tread on me
LOL Yeah same here. Got to see them in concert in April '04, Norfolk Scope. HELL of a great time.
Saw them on City Island in Harrisburg PA back in 88.
And again at Ozfest at RFK Stadium before it got torn down.
Metallica is in my ‘Top 3’ bands list.
Them, AC/DC and Disturbed. I may be old (48) but I love to head bang!
It is a great solo. He pulls off the atonal thing perfectly.
The ultimate proof that it’s a great solo is that in the video its awesomeness is able to overcome the bass player’s silly pants.
And this coming from me, a Who fan, who knows a thing or two about LOUD !!! /laughs

Awesome song. Vernon Reid - great guitarist and all-around good guy.
Living Colour haven’t released anything since 2003.
Their new work is called “The Chair in the Doorway”
Wiki says it will be released September 15th.
Youtube has some videos of them doing a few of the tracks live.
Vernon Reid can be so freakin angular and then 3 bars later I hear Clapton influence. And I learned alot by listening to and playing along with the Early Living Colour music.
Doug Wimbish is an amazing bass player and producer as well.
Have heard they are very LOUD but, of course, have no personal experience with the band!
I HAVE seen them on some Youtube vids.
You know me, though, MM...The only LOUD band I truly love is ‘The Who!’
