I just put a set of XS Sight Systems Express Tritium sights on the 1911 I built for myself. Only two dovetails required instead of the milled pocket for the Novaks, etc. The express sights are quick to acquire. I love them and recommend them to my customers. They are not adjustable though, which is okay for me as it is a carry gun.

Dude!
I love you. I shouldn’t say this on FreeRep, but...
“I love you more than I should love another man”...
Seriously...this is my 4th 1911. I’ve had Colts and others; in .45 and one Colt in .38 super.
They’re my favorite handgun.
I use a Springfield Armory XD subcompact in .40 and a PF-9 9mm (redundant, I know) for concealed...but my heart belongs to the 1911 .45.

I’m not gonna tell ‘em.
My dad shoots 1911’s, too...
It’s like the joke I heard:
“What’s the worst part about roller-blading?”
Answer:
“Coming out to your parents.”
That’s right, though. It’s just real.
We just gotta face up to it.

Time to Play “Last Man Standing.”

"...Time to Play Last Man Standing...."Okay...I had to look it up...
But I'm totally getting that movie now.
BTW, [I guess I'm stealing my own thread] what movies are there out there that prominently feature the 1911 .45?
Anyone?

A co-worker just picked up a Colt licensed Argentine military 1911 that showed up at his local Gander Mountain. He paid $230.00 for it.
I'm damned sad I missed that opportunity.
