To: a fool in paradise

Incredible that after 45 years the tapes had not melted down. I wonder if they were in an air onditioned house.

What a dpressing past for the Wilsons and the rest of the band. Brian’s old man was a mean piece of work.

Boston's Tom Scholz, in making his album "Third Stage", took so long because of legal battles and other delays that by the time he got back to editing the original tapes from some of the earlier recordings, the tape has begun to stick to itself and fuse into one blob.

He was able to separate it and using some sort of lube, feed it manually through the editing deck but it was painstaking work.

The period of time the tapes had been sitting was well under a decade.
