This Cartoon predicts the future 50 years ago. This could have been made yesterday! You have to watch this!
On my home page I have an even older editorial cartoon that was done in April 1934 showing that FDR did the same as 0b0z0:
Great stuff!
Back in ‘76 I was performing all over our Nation
with the Bicentennial Band & Chorus.
We did “The Town I Live In” with Frank Sinatra
on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial for a
TV special.
Thanks for the memory.
Many along the road have did their best to point out how we would eventually slid into socialism and then become a third world nation, with much of our constitutional rights put on the shelf, and of course no industrial base to create new wealth and put food on the plate for our families.
bump for after work.
House un-American Activities Committee - 19381975 (Died)
Their duties were transferred to the Judicial committee where the un-American activities could be encouraged in private.

Aside from the cartoon, there are some links and such in the comments in this thread that would be of interest to homeschoolers.
My, you're optimistic. The education system mentioned in the film pre-existed the days when all teachers had been force-fed Marxism. Many of my teachers were devout Christians and patriots who served our country in WWII or Korea. We still had the pledge of allegiance, real American history and Bible readings in school up until the 60s.
Our system depends, as de Toqueville observed in the 1840s, on a virtuous population. When we still had a Christian middle class before the Democrat Socialists' concerted effort to change that through overwhelming all systems with unbridled immigration and relentless elevation of deviance (the Cloward-Piven strategy), our schools were much more locally controlled and were populated by families who expected one another to stay married and care for their own children and elders according to Western moral traditions.
In the 50 years since this cartoon was made, having recognized the strength of our traditional morality, the communist-inspired ACLU and its international socialist puppetmasters made a strategic plan and a concerted effort to dismantle all the key institutions in our society. And they have nearly succeeded because not enough patriots could or would imagine the depths of depravity to which the left would stoop -- no shame on them for that. The awakening that is happening now may be too late.
But it may be soon enough. I prefer to encourage the push-back, not condemn and surrender as you have done.
It's true. But it is human nature for most people (not all, but most) NOT to recognize or respond to a problem trend until it is a crisis. This tendency has even been studied scientifically. So we have to hope now that enough people will recognize a crisis when they see one. There's no more time to stick heads in the sand.
Wow — that’s right on the money. We can see that we’ve been up against this before. We beat it back once, and now we must overcome it again.
Can anyone read the copyright year on that cartoon?
But it's good the second time around too!!
FRegards,
It was done in April 1934.
I will check out later.
A combination of Marxism and fascism is our nation's **most** serious threat. Government K-12 schools are the Marxist/fascists’ **most** important and powerful weapon.
Yet....Few conservative can identify the threat or understand that government schools are literally a weapon that is being aimed at American freedom. If they did, they get their own kids out, work to shut down every K-12 school in the nation, and find a way to provide every child access to private education that was tuition-free, private, and God-centered.
bump for later
"Makes me think about the Global Warming/Climate change movement and cap and trade legislation."
exactly.
