i am heartened by the parental response to this media event. I imagine that Obams never DREAMED there would be blowback from this stunt, that everyone loves him and why not listen to the Prez of the US give some little motivational talk. The fact that people are seeing something sinister in it, and not just us rightwing fringers, as soother pointed out, means that his facade has cracked and people are uneasy with him. like i said yesterday, only those who see him as a totally benign entity would not be bothered by this.

The follow up question to every single one of these adminstrators who seem perplexed about people not wanting to hear from the President of the US [i read in another article that the Montgomery county MD superintendant of schools couldn't imagine why people didn't want to hear him, but "it's a diverse country'] WOULD you be equally perplexed if people were calling to protest the airing of a msg from President Bush, or would that be TOTALLY explicable to you?
