I loved the Get well graphic you posted to jaycee! So pretty!
I saved a pretty, colorful bird in flight the other day. I have no idea what kind it is. (you can keep it and do one of your special frames around it) Do you? Meg?
I have no idea what kind of bug is in it's mouth either!

I would hate to work in retail at Christmas time, too. Otherwise, I bet you enjoy it. The stores seem to start Christmas earlier every year, too. :(

Maybe when we move next week we should just put up the Christmas decorations. :) Now there's an idea! You wouldn't have to go drag out all the boxes of decorating stuff the end of November or first part of December; this way you wouldn't have to put the stuff away now, get it out again in three months, and put it away once more!

I think it is a bee-eater. I grabbed it. It is so pretty.
Am I right, Meg? There are so many birds that I’ve never heard of .... how did I live all these years without at least hearing about them? Some of these birds are so brightly colored .... they are beuautiful.
Thanks, Billie.

You're welcome. :) I don't know where all these brightly colored birds LIVE! I get excited just seeing a hummingbird here! But we have lots of quail, and it's the sweetest thing to watch a mother and half a dozen or more little ones scurrying along behind her single-file. And doves by the dozens - so pretty!
Hey, it's nice seeing you get to spend some time here today - calmer today than yesterday I take it. :)

Today is much calmer than yesterday. It is great to be able to spend a little time here today.
The convention cut into my Amy’s Place time yesterday. I’ve had some time just for me today. Hooray!!!
We have quail and dove and an occasional pheasant. We also have sparrows by the thousands and several of the little house finches. The seldom seen blue jay is about as brightly colored bird as we ever see.

Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your presentations of our fallen brothers. Though it can be depressing, it can also be uplifting to bring honor to these heroes. Thank You.

Happy September
Taste the oh so subtle scent of fall to come
and now careful watch for the first leaf to fall
there, there under the time colored elms so tall
before those coming winds that will but numb
The last of the Summer to cherish well
before the living colors shift and time moves on
we want to slow time, not wanting a cold dawn
the preparations for what the signs tell
Take this moving time to sip of the life about
inhale the wine of warm scents on the air
Enjoy the stars under ebon skies so fair
and in your own intense joy, be free to shout

To: JustAmy; Billie; everyone
I enjoyed reading the thread today and seeing all the lovely graphics. Seems only yesterday we were playing Willie’s September Song, my how time flies on by. (I am listening again now.)
I’m not going to point out any special graphics because everything was just so perfect and I would be sure to miss someone.
I may be a wee bit better but not back to top yet!! Don’t know what is is but it just wiped me out...period! Maybe I just need to be slowed down sometimes.
Loved the sweet get well greetings, FRiends. I am not sure if I will be back on full time tomorrow or not. I am sad without Amy’s Place but its good to know its right here at my finger tips and I can say hi to my FRiends.

Darn! Did you put the link code < a href=”....” >, no spaces before and after the < ‘s and then the link you wanted between the quotes? Then type Flutter-By and then < /a > ,again,no spaces for something for us to click on?
I am not good at instructions, but maybe it will work! :D

Luv, couldn’t get it to work...
The person who sent it to me had it fixed where you clicked the word ‘flutter-by’ so I took your instructions and put flutter-by between the quotes and of course the rest of your command. I tried it a couple of times and it wouldn’t work.
Thanks much...I may try tomorrow.
