The investigation into Phillip and Nancy Garrido, the couple accused of kidnapping and imprisoning Jaycee Dugard for 18 years, has widened and authorities are now looking for links between Garrido and other missing children in the area.
"We are taking very seriously the possibility that he could be connected to some others," San Francisco FBI Special Agent Joseph Schadler told ABCNews.com today.
The revelation that Garrido is being investigated for other missing children is in addition to probes by detectives who say that Garrido is a person of interest in a string of prostitute murders.
Rod Garecht told ABC News that police have contacted him looking for any connection between Jaycee's 1991 abduction when she was 11 and the 1988 kidnapping of his 9-year-old daughter Michaela.
"Anything to keep her in the news and keep people talking about her is good," Garecht said today.
Like Jaycee Dugard, Michaela Garecht was grabbed off the street in broad daylight, pulled into a stranger's car in front of witnesses. His daughter, with her dirty-blonde hair and wide smile, could be Jaycee's twin.
Michaela would now be 30, a year older than Jaycee who was found alive last week at age 29 along with the two daughters fathered by Phillip Garrido.

Ilene Misheloff Disappeared Two Years Before Jaycee Dugard
It's been more than 20 years since 13-year-old Ilene Misheloff was kidnapped while walking home from school in Dublin, Calif. She was last seen on Jan. 30, 1989, less than 200 yards from a shortcut over a creek bed that her parents learned Ilene used only after her disappearance.

I can’t believe his neighbors never noticed anything. Makes me want to pay better attention to my surroundings.
1) Neighbor across the street threw a party for their pre-teen daughter, and the Sex Offender was trying to get them to come inside once everyone started to leave.
2) A neighbor called the cops when they noticed kids in the yard. The cops did not do a full investigation, and admitted to blowing it a day after the arrest.
Bring back the Death Penalty.
The neighbors noticed. They called the police to say people were living in tents in the backyard.
What did the police do............NOTHING
There is an unsovled murder of a young girl (14/15 ish) who got upset while attening a freinds Hispanic 16th coming out party (cant think of the right word).
She (foolishly) walked home along the old Hwy 4 in Pittsburg (an industrial area) and her body was found raped/murdered.
When this monster came into the media light the first thing I thought of was that unsolved murder of the lil gal in Pittsburg.
There is also unsolved case from the small town of Newport NC of the murder of a 15 year old who was strangled on her way home from a popular teen hangout in town. She was a “Marine brat” (Cherry Point MCAS is 10 miles away) and I think that had to do with how much was not done to find her killer. This happened back in 1975, and she was a friend of mine. Her name was Donna Emmel.
