LONDON (Reuters) – British police are to re-examine the death of former Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones after receiving new information.
Jones, a founding member of the rock band, was 27 when he was found dead at the bottom of a swimming pool at his home in southern England 40 years ago.
An inquest recorded a verdict of death by misadventure.

The story goes that the builder who was living in Brian’s home and remodeling had some run-in with Brian (not sure they have explained motive) and did him in supposedly. Even if they were to prove the case — the builder died in the 90s so there is no one to put in jail. :-) I think everyone took it for granted that Brian did himself in with drugs, etc and thats why there wasn’t much of an investigation. Everyone expected it.
there was a joke going around in the mid 90’s when the stones were going on another one of their ‘comeback’ tours and it went:
