Captain America prevailed today in Indianapolis, even though he appears to be Spanish these days. Jorge Lorenzo and his superhero-inspired helmet took top honors at the second Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix, also stopping to pick up a red, white and blue toy shield to round out the costume for his victory lap. He then capped it off with a Helio Castroneves-style spiderman climb up the Turn 1 fence- yet another classic race-win celebration from the young Spanish star!
The 250 race was the best of the weekend. I love MotoGP but sometimes the support races are where the action is.
I have to admit I was snoozing on a grassy knoll during a large part of the 250 race. I have teh Speed channel broadcast on my DVR to review. The MotoGP race was notable for both the number 1 rider (Pedrosa) and then the number 2 rider (Rossi) both hitting the pavement. Pedrosa was definitely the strongest bike out there.
Crap i wanted to see this race- anywhere I can view it online?
I got a kick out of the practice episode on Saturday. Had an amazing slo-mo shot of Rossi sliding both ends coming out of a turn. I just cannot fathom what it is to ride that hard.
