Data of Sea Ice Extent
IRAC-JAXA ^ | 8/29/2009 | IRAC-JAXA

Please click the link to the IRAC-JAXA web site to reference the chart at this site. The important thing about this chart is the trend of Arctic sea ice extent from 2007 to 2009 as we approach the Summer minimum (mid-Sept). Note the yellow, orange and red lines which represent the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 respectively. The trend is going back to greater sea ice coverage, where 2007 was the lowest coverage, last year had increased coverage while it looks like 2009 will have more sea ice coverage than the previous two years. So clearly, the trend is not towards less Arctic sea ice coverage but more, despite the fact that we're, supposedly, putting more C02 into the atmosphere.

I'd be interested to hear how the SO2 plume from the Sarychev volcano affected the weather this summer.

As the Sun continues in a deep solar minimum, I'm of the opinion that sea ice will do just fine over the next few decades. One hopes that crop production won't get hammered.

Another great sea ice resource is:

Shhh! You're not supposed to tell anyone, you might interfere with Democrats plan to take over America and impose the Cap and Tax bill.

More proof that Al Gore is a con man and should be put in jail for running a money-making scam and defrauding the American people.
