To the best of my knowledge, no such free software exists. Usually transcription software requires lots of processing power and a very clean input source. I suggest google at this point. You might try some search parameters such as “opensource” “audio transcription” “speech to text” and the like. Good luck.

I tried that, but not much luck.
It's aggravating to transcribe video just to have "Word" lock up
and loose about 4 hours of work, due to not occasionally saving what I'm working on.
