I quit listening to Sean a few years back. Same reasons.

It was like he had a list of printed bullet points that he kept by the mic, day in and day out.

Also he was wayyyy too kissy-butt with libs, always called them “my good friend” so-and-so. Al Sharpton comes to mind.

He helped Levin with his career; now Levin has left him in the dust.

I don't know about some of you but in my opinion I think it's great to turn on the radio and hear all of our fine, freedom loving talk show hosts, Rush, Levin, Shawn, Laura, Beck and others.

With Obama's FCC "Diversity Czar" waiting in the wings to shut up these voices of freedom, I find it hard to believe the energy spent on this thread by some trashing some of the good guys.

Beck, Savage, Limbaugh...Sean is just a polite usually a weak whiny echo chamber version of them.

I remember when he was relatively new in NYC and only had the talking points from which he never strayed. It was like Sean knew three things and just chanted them over and over. He has come a long way in that, but not enough.

And he uses the word specificity way too much! I cannot listen to his voice or his laugh for any period of time.

I think Sean is a good man. I think he is an honorable man. And I think he plays an important role in the Conservative message to a lot of ppl. He comes across as a good husband and father. He is very likable in a down to earth sort of way. He is definitely more of an asset to Conservative than he is a hindrance. I know that a lot of ppl love him and are very loyal and he seems to be loyal in return. I don’t really think there is a dishonest bone in his body. Sean is great to our troops and if nothing else, he will have my respect and appreciation right there.

Big time. After Rush, I like to tune into a guy from Baltimore named Ron Smith. Super smart, very fair and very even handed. Even the local stuff is interesting. Here's a link to his show.

Sean is humorless. I find it difficult to believe he’s really Irish.

He is also a motormouth. I always think of the word “logorrhea” when I hear him. One of the giveaways is that he says “y’know” several times a minute. He spews out stock phrases and stock sentences while he’s thinking of something to say. I’ve heard him take several callers in a row, cut each one off after one sentence, and deliver the same one-minute rant after each caller: Ronald Reagan. Cut taxes to stimulate the economy. Greatest economy in the world. A beacon of freedom. Spreading democracy. Created 20 million new jobs. Increased revenue to the government. You have government derangement syndrome.

Sean also has NO CLUE what “Socratic questioning” is. When a liberal says something, Sean simply cuts him off and delivers a conservative rant. Then the next caller, same process.

Sean is also shallow. Abortion is murder, but a little bit of abortion (rape, incest) is okay. I’m a Catholic, but contraception is a good thing if you’re not a Catholic.

I listen to Sean much, much less than Rush, Beck, or Levin.

Boring.

Grabbing the attention of a listener and getting the listener to keep listening is an art. This has nothing to do with mouthing conservative (or liberal) talking points. Most hosts, conservative or liberal, don't seem to understand it. One exception however is a certain highly trained broadcast specialist by the name of Rush Limbaugh.

Is Hannity's radio show overrated?

The host is.

I find him a bit whiney at times. Also the IPS rate his has on his show (Information/Per/Second), is on the relatively low side of things: compared to maybe a Levin or Savage. His cozying up to RINOs also turns me off at times, this voting for Satan because he has an (R) after his name business.

I am annoyed by his inability to speak fluently with out repeating himself and injecting all the ‘you knows.’

I’m no huge fan either. He doesn’t usually make any fresh points or tell us anything that we don’t already know. But millions enjoy his show and he’s getting some kind of conservative message out which is good.

Hannity is valuable in his own right. He most likely appeals to a younger (at least younger than me lol) audience and that’s a good thing. I agree that he seems too nice and never really cared to listen to him but...Mark Levin had him on his show the other nite and Hannity, to his credit, spoke quite eloquently about the various shows and slammed noone, but what came through loud and clear, he loves this country deeply and whether we agree with his style or not, I never will question his loyalty to the U.S.
