I previously would use Capzasin on the joint affected (usually the big toe) before I got the prescriptions. NSAIDs didn’t do a thing that I could detect. Some people have good results with celery seed extract. But again, colchicine is what removes the crystals that are causing the problem.

I take colchicine and allupurinol for my gout and work wonders for me as well.
