I agree about the explanation, but sometimes its better to identify yourself by the aircraft type "Cessna 195" instead of the name given to the type.

Again, it's only a suggestion. I'm sure you know how busy the traffic pattern can get. And again, I love old aircraft. They're beautiful. I just don't trust today's controllers. They're pushed too much from management, and once they're rated, they're usually on their own, with the supervisor not in the room.

I've done that and many times get silence...and you just know they are scratching their heads and saying to themselves "what's a 195...?"...:o)
