I was in the yard with my sons yesterday and heard this plane fly by several times. It continued to take off and land repeatedly. I figure that someone was practicing their landing an take offs. I live very close to the airport and drove over to snap some pictures. Any guess of the make of this fine aircraft. You tube link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F--oNoIK5aQ
Too bad the pic doesn’t show the registration number. You can use that to look up the aircraft in question on the FAA web site. It will tell you who owns it, where it is registered, and what it is and when it was made.
Cessna T-50 (”Bobcat” or “Bamboo Bomber”) without a doubt. And yes, this was Sky King’s plane, though I think it became a Cessna 310 later in the series.
Out of the blue of the western skies comes Sky King!
Sky King flew a Cessna T-50 for the first series, then a Cessna 310.
The Beachcraft has a twin tail - the one in the video posted has a single.
I concur with others - I think it looks a lot like a T-50
The photo I have lis from the opposite side but it a mirror image to the photo posted above. I am certain is the exact same plane. That is some serious research power at our fingertips!
:)
Bingo! That appears to be THE plane in the video!
I think the T-50, AT-17 and the UC-78 are all the same basic airframe.
Bamboo Bomber. cessna T50
If you can read the tail number, just google it and you will find out what it is and probably who owns it.

Send me your email and I will email you a decent pic.
Yep
If anyone can find a place to host a pic just send me your email and I will email you a good picture. You will be amazed at the mirror image it is to the prior posted picture.
I agree. I think it’s the UC-78/T-50. Not that I am any kind of expert.
That's the sound of two radial engines.
Beeeyoootifulll!!
