I’ve worn spike heels all my life and despite my ahem..advanced age, still wear them occasionally.

I still have “race horse ankles.”

You either have them or don’t. I think it’s genetic mostly.

No, it’s fat and a expanded ligaments that have grown (reinforced) as a result of carry around fat.

Once you have them, you can never completely get rid of them, but by losing weight you will both make them smaller and prevent them from getting bigger.

Calf work (direct like a seated raise and/or leg press) or indirect (front squat) and running will help lose weight and make the calf muscle bigger, which makes the ankles look smaller.

It’s like me; I look like I have a little waise -— it’s not -— a 36 -— but my shoulders are 54/56 -— so it looks small.
