I've been spending a lot of time thinking about what is likely to happen in the future. I can't help but think the clues are obvious, and will be glaringly so in hindsight. Does anyone recall Rhett Butler's comments about the fast-approaching Civil War?

"I mean...there's not a cannon factory in the whole South....I'm saying very plainly that the Yankees are better equipped than we. They've got factories, shipyards, coal mines... and a fleet to bottle up our habours and starve us to death. All we've got is cotton, and slaves and ...arrogance."

So what are we facing? Inflation? Deflation? Civil War? Martial Law? Or nothing special...just stagflation?

like them, what can Obama do to help the economy when he doesn't understand the basics of capitalism?

Recently some Russian general predicted that the USA would break up. He even detailed which states would stick together.

I think he got the geography wrong, but I can certainly see the possibility of a break up. History is clear that large multi-ethnic and multi-cultural “empires” are ultimately held together only by some form of tyranny. When tyranny fails, they fall apart.

Secession was defeated in the 1860’s neither by ballots nor by logic but simply by force of arms.

I liked the part where she shot Yankee doodle.. In Gangs of New York, there's a scene where ports of NY are filled with immigrants from Ireland who were forced into the Union Army upon arrival. Likewise, it will be with the illegals, the government will arm them for war against Patriots in a civil war.

Right now our government is spending Billions of our tax dollars to arm for foreign citizens around the world. While, at the same time they are disarming US.
