Dont be too surprised if you see a dog wearing a No. 7 Michael Vick Eagles jersey, because the NFL is allowing the sale of the customized pooch pullovers on their Web site.
The Vick jerseys werent being openly promoted by the NFL (like Vick jerseys for humans were being promoted), but can be obtained by filling out the customizable pet jersey form on NFL.com and asking for "VICK" to be put on the back of the shirt, the New York Daily News discovered.
The customized Vick jersey will only cost fans $39.99 (plus shipping and handling -- naturally).
But is it right that people can dress their pets in the jersey of a man who served time for cruelty done to dogs?
The NFL for their part explained the sale of the jerseys.
"You can order a jersey of any team with any (players) name you want," league spokesman Greg Aiello said to NBC Philadelphia.

Democrats?.... (Eddie Murphy laugh)...

Disgusting, yes...surprising, no.
It would be disgusting to censor people’s customizable jerseys.
Vick served his time people and has apologized.
Great Christmas gifts for all your Lib/PETA friends. HA HA HA HA HA
Big deal he served his time and apologized. IMO he didn’t serve enough time and his apology is empty just like his soul. It’s easy to say I’m sorry after being caught, and usually it means they are sorry that they were caught.
Of course.....
Okay, I like the twisted humor of putting Ron Mexico’s name and number on a dog jersey...although I could see somebody putting Vick’s #7 under Rod Smart’s old XFL alias:
HE HATE ME.
How about an official Adolph Eichmann-aitographed yarmulke from the Yesteryear Germany store? Or what about Federal Express offering special “Unabomber packaging” for two-day shippers?
And how about some special promos for the Vick doggie garb. “Thinking about electocuting your little mutt this week?” Or—”Wanna send a message to Fido that he better add some bite to his bark?”
Bada bing.
HE HATE ME.
Good one.
Actually, when Vick was exposed for having sought medical treatment for herpes, he went by the name Ron Mexico. When he was sued by a woman for knowingly giving her herpes, it all came out in court. Atlanta Falcons #7 Mexico jerseys were a hot seller until the NFL decided to ban it as an option for customers, to protect their big star and image...JFK
Regardless of whether or not Vick has been rehabilitated is besides the point. The man is free and he’s playing football again. You can hate him all you want, but your opinion isn’t going to change the facts.
True, but I can still state my opinion - and I can refuse to support the guy and the Eagles.
