My nephew works as an ER nurse at the county hospital and he told me that the stuff this "doctor" used, Propofol (sp), is NEVER, NEVER, NEVER used in a home environment. NEVER.
He says they call it "Milk of amnesia". It is used for special surgeries, the kind of procedures where the surgeons CONTROL the breathing instead of letting the patient's natural breathing occur, because this stuff makes the patient's breathing STOP. He says the patient on this stuff is ALWAYS INTUBATED.

Very informative. Now the question is, why would anyone ever under any circumstance think of using this anesthetic under anything less than medically controlled conditions?

Correction - He says the patient on this stuff is
ALMOST ALWAYS INTUBATED.
It is also used during a colonoscopy.
