Personally, I prefer Oolong to green tea.

Some of the really good tea, you can steep several times. So even though the tea itself is nominally more expensive, the cost of a glass (or gallon) might be cheaper and it's also better tasting.

Kuro (black) oolong cha 黒烏龍茶　 if you REALLY want to melt the fat off in pounds in one fell swoop (well, actually, give it 8 weeks but that will transpire quickly) !
