Officer Lori Barnes grabbed hold of the snake and held on. "It really, really showed it was fine and it was really powerful when the officer tried to grab," said Kyle Purdy, 16, who found the snake. "It really put up quite a fight."

Since they’re so common as “pets” and just keep growing, and growing, and growing, sometimes getting up to 25 ft. and 300 lb., the owner is going to have real trouble finding someone else to take the critter.
