We've long patronized Whole Foods for the cheese section. We'll be tossing a few more dollars their way after this one.

We've tended to avoid Whole Foods because of the prices, distance to the store, and also because there's something off-putting about the sickly-but-righteous-looking crowd who tend to shop there (in Colorado Springs, anyway -- somehow it's less obnoxious elsewhere).

I'll probably still not go there, but I'll think nicer thoughts about 'em.

You're quite correct about the place being full of smug libs, but the staff has always been extremely helpful especially when Mrs. L is looking for a specialty gourmet item when she's in one of her cooking moods.

And if you're a cheese person, I highly recommend a stop at WF the next time you're in the area. The selection is incredible and the prices aren't really that bad.

There's always a very knowledgeable and helpful person behind the counter who's willing to slice off a few samples for you, too.

Did I mention I really love cheese?

Best,

L
