Johnny will a a whole lot of extra food money at the week!
Hmmm...I may actually start going to Whole Foods now. I bet a spend a helluva a lot more on food than the bitchy little bloggers in this piece.
No one but them has the right to an opinion. Free speech is not allowed, only liberal speak.
God forbid the guy should makes sense. This demonstrates clearly that for dye-in-the-wool liberals this isn’t really about health care at all.
I just love it when libs get their panties in a knot.
Whole foods is a little on the expensive side for me, but good for this CEO speaking the truth.
Brave man. He went against his customer base here. Hopefully, it helps knock some common sense into their brains about the real world.
Did this guy really open his recent op-ed with the Thatcher quote: “The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money”? Love it. But won’t shop at his stores, or at any other “organic” shop; don’t trust ‘em. Like my old pappy sez, “Organic food? Lot more of it sold than is actually grown.”
Dumb move. Doesn't this guy know who his customer base is?
What a blow to the tofu industry! Probably a pathetic, twerp, geek, ACORN, eco-vegan. He proably ignores the diesal engines and fuel needed to get his manure covered lettuce to market.
If the vegan life is so good for ya’, why do you NEED healthcare.
Well I never noticed before, but there’s one not far from me. And I need a couple of deli plates for a party in a couple of weeks, I think I’ll give them a call!
A bunch of patchouli wearing, knee-jerk Liberals jerking their knees...
I like how the idiots quoted in the article blame "evil big business" for not paying enough taxes and contributing to the deficit. It is too bad such clueless morons are allowed to vote.
Actually, the stores should be safer as well since we'll no longer need to fear the bottle-cap and lid openers from the paranoic progressive wing of that crowd.
I became a fan of this Whole Foods CEO when he decided a salary for himself of $400,000 rather than many times that for which he could have opted.
But when I read that he liked to go down to his chicken pen of an evening with a glass of wine and watch the chickens....my opinion of him escalated to the outer limits.
I have chickens and enjoy watching their exchanges and antics, though without the glass of wine. LOL!
Me too, while I think organic food is just a gimmick, I’d shop there a few times just to make a point.
I’m sure that they’ll come back because it sounds like Whole Foods has the volume to have lower prices and a lot of variety while shopping at the health food store will drive you to the poor house.
The Whole Paycheck CEO is not a liberal, or at least not a moonbat liberal.
When WF got rid of their live lobster tank moonbats cheered for the rights of the sea bugs, but the CEO explained that it was one of the least profitable operations in terms of overall profit, and profit per square foot, and cost in-cost out. They still sell frozen lobster products.
He said at the time (paraphrasing) that he used to use a liberal/socialist economic model but he realized he’d never have more than a few stores, so he went Western Capitalist and his business boomed. One aspect of that business is marketing toward moonbat liberals, who flock in and spend $25 a pound for “organic” eggplant or $30 for mushrooms you find free in the woods.
I shop there now, I hope the boycott spreads so the clientèle will improve and prices might come down a bit.
Hm.... so much for logic and rational thought.
