I see the Pres. here spiritualizing “G&Mg.” into a general spirit of war in the mideast.
Ezekiel is the primary mention of G & Mg and not Revelation, and I’m thinking that a spiritualized millenial reign (already realizING) would also explain the Pres.
I’d bet money, given his background, that he’s probably post-mil. Place money goes on amil.
My sense from knowing a little about some of his spiritual ‘handlers’ and teachers is that you’re quite wrong.
I read you comment and your speculation does not fit the Bush quote. There is futurist infection in many churches. Even liberal churches like the Episcopal are open to this sort of error esp. since it smacks of conservatism.
I suspect he read some wacky book or was listening to some TV pop prophecy preacher and got a dose of it.
