In the scenario I provided, luck and experience has nothing to do with it. A vehicle blows a red light, or someone left turns from the left turn bay into your direction of travel and it's lights out, regardless of experience or luck.

The only luck involved in many MC incidents is whether you survive.

BTW, I've had over 12 bikes, both street and dirt. Last Harley was a 1941 side valve, 90 inch flathead, with the engine built by Big Daddy Roth, of the Car-toon Mag fame of the 1960s. I have had my share of experience with bikes of all types.

The flathead, (last of the Harley pig iron), was originally an 80” motor.
