The season's final major is here!!! The PGA comes back to Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, MN where 156 players get a crack at glory's last shot and try to walk away with the Wannamaker Trophy. Last time we were here, in 2002, little known and unheralded Rich Beem held off Tiger Woods for what is still regarded as one of the biggest suprises in major championship history. This time around Hazeltine will show off the longest course ever in history, playing at 7,674 yards at par of 72.
3 of the 4 par 5's on the course, numbers 3, 11 and 15 will play at 633, 606, and 642 yards with number 7 playing at a "short" 572 yards.
Hole 14 plays as a short, 352 yard par 4 and the hole may be shortened to 318 yards to entice players to go for the green.
So lat's have at it boys and girls. Does Tiger win #15 this week and his 3rd event in a row, or can we expect another of the many6 world class players, like Masters' champ Angel Cabrera, US Open Champ Lucas Glover, or Open Champ Stewart Cink Or another to have something to say about it....
BUSY sports weekend ahead. Cubs trying to salvage their season. In the next two weeks, I think they play 13 of 20 at home. 3 back of Saint Lou...
Golf...Nascar and NFL FootsBall starts their PreSeason...PLUS the Brother In Law is now a full Fire Command Chief at his FireHouse...very proud of him, going to his party on Sat.
Good thing I have the GMan Command Center to watch all this stuff. 19” and 24” monitors, plus 32” and 46” HDTV ...gonna be BUSY!!
Sounds like someone’s gonna be busy!!!
So remind me how your multiple monitor setup works????
There was a Fellowship Of Christian Athletes dinner tonight in the Minneapolis area that was attended by some 1,500 people. Among the featured speakers, John Rollins, Kenny Perry, Stewart Cink and Zach Johnson.
Sure would have been there if I were in the area, that’s for sure!!!
Look, I guess we’ll have to try this AGAIN!!
Read the exact context of Tigers’ speech in DC. How many times did he mention Stupid by name? HOW MANY??? Even in an indirect way?? ANSWER, ZERO!!!
His visit to the White House in April was done in conjunction and was directly related to his tournament, the AT&T National. Should he have not done the visit with Stupid? If he doesn’t, I don’t think the sponsors of the event that he’s hosting would have been very happy.
I’ve had it with the baseless assumptions concerning Tiger and his political views. We’re not in his inner circle, if sometime he wants to reveal that he leans conservative, that’s up to him. When he does, maybe then you can post apoligizes to us. If we’re wrong, we’ll admit it too.
Remember what the mods told you would happen if you kept hitting the abuse button? Keep those 2 words in mind if you continue to post crap over and over again.......
Whatever. He throws clubs, swears, spits, doesn’t sign autographs for kids, caddie talks smack talk about other players, etc.
The one poster said how he will destroy the field with typical Tiger “fan boy” smack talk. Almost identical to those with Obama man crushes.
Well he missed the cut at the British Open and was beaten by a 59 year old and a 16 year old. He is still a friend of Obama’s. I did not see Mickelson giving speeches or paling around with Hussein.
You sound like you want to limit my free speech like Rep. John Dingel. Nice.
BTW:
Do you get the yips with 2 footers?
Take multiple mulligans?
Improve your lie in the rough?
Get no spin off the wedges too?
I like Kenny Perry, but Tiger’s hot.

Tiger = friend of Obama.
Anyone remember Jack or Slammin Sammy Snead throwing clubs, swearing, spitting, having their caddy diss other players like a punk, dissing little kids looking for autographs? .
They never were under that roid cloud either.
I simply posted a couple lists. Do you dispute those lists?
I remember about fifteen years ago, all the experts saying that nobody would dominate the game ever again because the talent was so deep. Tiger proved them wrong in a big way. There's a reason others collapse when he's near the lead. Tiger performs under pressure and makes the big shot when it counts almost every time.
Talent, my butt. A bunch of wusses. There are no course records being set out there, despite the equipment getting better and better with each passing year. Tiger Woods doesn’t put up rounds that other golfers haven’t put up, he just competes against a bunch of wusses. Phil Mickelson is his toughest competitor? What a joke, Mickelson is so soft, he could be Romney’s running mate. Golf is a joke right now.
Why don’t you go out there and show them what you can do?
How about course difficulty now versus the old days?
Kenny’s had another great year, just like Steve Stricker has, but Tiger is in one of those “make a statement” modes. If I wanted to pick someone from the other side of the Atlantic who could win, I would have said Paul Casey, but with his injury, that isn’t going to happen.
Martin Kaymer could make some noise. This kid hits the ball a country mile, which on this course means a lot.
Anyways, when Tiger throws his clubs, swears, or Steve Williams pretends to be Clint Eastwood, don’t we call him out on it? In a perfect world, I want everyone on tour to act like Phil, or Tom Watson, or Jack, but that isn’t going to happen. And it isn’t Tiger’s fault the talent pool may not be as strong has it was back in the day, but the records are still going to go bye-bye in record time and some just can’t stand to see it happen.....
“Why don’t you go out there and show them what you can do?”
Nah, I prefer the real sports, you know, the ones where the players don’t have a conniption and interrupt their play if someone in the stands is eating potato chips too loudly while they are playing. PGA is wuss-central.
I heard that the PGA isn’t fining him for his remarks about the official putting them on the clock, but I haven’t yet seen anything to confirm that.
I’m glad Tiger called out the PGA on this, even though he personally benefited from putting him and Padraig on the clock.
Apparently some Associated Mess hack reported that a fine was going to be assessed but Ty Votaw said yesterday that no fine was or is going to be levied against Tiger.
Phil is in the house and will hold his presser at 3:00.
In other words, you don’t want those wusses making you look like a baby banging its rattle on the ground.
