The season's final major is here!!! The PGA comes back to Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, MN where 156 players get a crack at glory's last shot and try to walk away with the Wannamaker Trophy. Last time we were here, in 2002, little known and unheralded Rich Beem held off Tiger Woods for what is still regarded as one of the biggest suprises in major championship history. This time around Hazeltine will show off the longest course ever in history, playing at 7,674 yards at par of 72.
3 of the 4 par 5's on the course, numbers 3, 11 and 15 will play at 633, 606, and 642 yards with number 7 playing at a "short" 572 yards.
Hole 14 plays as a short, 352 yard par 4 and the hole may be shortened to 318 yards to entice players to go for the green.
So lat's have at it boys and girls. Does Tiger win #15 this week and his 3rd event in a row, or can we expect another of the many6 world class players, like Masters' champ Angel Cabrera, US Open Champ Lucas Glover, or Open Champ Stewart Cink Or another to have something to say about it....
Yehhhh, the PGA. A bunch of soft wusses who cave every time Tiger Woods is anywhere close to the lead. Collectively, the weakest group of golfers in history right now.
I’ll take...Zach Johnson
Is Tiger going to give another speech for Obama?
Since I was at a public ‘puter, I was a little short of time so I didn’t get a chance to finish, so.......

I grew up in a military family -- and my role models in life were my Mom and Dad, Lt. Colonel Earl Woods.
My dad was a Special Forces operator and many nights friends would visit our home. They represented every branch of service, and every rank. In my Dad, and in those guests, I saw first hand the dedication and commitment of those who serve. They come from every walk of life. From every part of our country. Time and again, across generations, they have defended our safety in the dark of night and far from home.
Each day -- and particularly on this historic day -- we honor the men and women in uniform who serve our country and protect our freedom. They travel to the dangerous corners of the world, and we must remember that for every person who is in uniform, there are families who wait for them to come home safely.
I am honored that the military is such an important part, not just of my personal life, but of my professional life as well. The golf tournament we do each year here in Washington is a testament to those unsung heroes. I am the son of a man who dedicated his life to his country, family and the military, and I am a better person for it.
In the summer of 1864, Abraham Lincoln, the man whose memorial we stand, spoke to the 164th Ohio Regiment and said:
"I am greatly obliged to you, and to all who have come forward at the call of their country."
Just as they have stood tall for our country -- we must always stand by and support the men and women in uniform and their families.
Thank you, and it is now my pleasure to introduce the U.S. Naval Glee Club.

Hey, that works for me too...
But honestly, who doesn’t think Tiger is the prohibitive favorite, AGAIN???
Since I’m being infiltrated already by llort, maybe Tiger should have handed Padraig the trophy Sunday night. I guess it wasn’t good enough that Tiger called out the rules official, MORE THAN ONCE, that may have(hell no one really knows for 100% sure that the outcome would have been any different if they weren’t on the clock)changed the ending of the tourney and all.....
I don’t think I’ve ever heard him like that before, and I don’t know that we will again.
Thank you very much, sir!!!!!!
Maybe that can put and end to the childish posts......
Welcome to the thread!!!!
THANKS!!!!!
For Obama’s inauguration.

As far as the other poster - Tiger missed the cut at the British Open which was almost won by a 59 year old with a 16 year old amateur coming within 4 strokes of winning.
Maybe the other poster can help Obnama and Tiger pass O’s DeathCare.
I think Tiger is quite the guy for standing up for Harrington.
“Is Tiger going to give another speech for Obama?”
Probably will, so he can be on the same tax “plan” that Geithner and the others were able to be on. The upper crust is selling out left and right, but they don’t know their history.
2. Ban the Long and Belly putters. These guys use their bodies as a fulcrum to steady the putter blade, thereby, in my opinion, assisting them in creating an illegal stance. This isn't croquet or polo. It's golf. Play and putt correctly or don't play!
3. Add additional security at events and arrest any drunks yelling "Go in the hole" or "you the man", or any other annoying expression just so they can go home, turn on the TIVO and hear themselves, or smuggle a cell phone in and call their retarded friends and family so they can be such a big man! Jail'em, give them 30 days and ban them from future events. Or, public execution. Whichever.
4. Try holding a tournament without beer. Oh that's right, only true and polite golf fans would attend! Can't do that!
I’m listening to the local sportstalk station and Kelly Tilghman was just on. Apparently there was an opportunity for Tiger to maybe take back some of what he had said on Sunday and yesterday. He isn’t backing down from it one bit. He could take the high road, like he does his politics, cause I would really like to shoot down the consistent arguments of a very few that think he is a fan of Stupid.
Hey then I must be part of the MOB cause I’m guilty of part of your number 3 rule.
See when I went to Firestone Saturday I originally wasn’t going to try to sneak my cellphone in, but driving down there I decided to. I put the phone in my hat and the battery in my pocket, got wanded, was asked to tip my cap and ended up walking in....
Then I went over to 1 tee and sat around as the twosomes started going off. My mistake was taking my phone out, which was long put silent and FReeping last week’s thread to give a couple of quick updates. I did this in between the tee offs 10 minutes or so time in between. Unfortunately, I think some 12 year old kid who was crying to mommy and daddy why he could have his phone and he couldn’t turned my in to the double secret Akron police squad.
I had to take my phone back to my car and I almost missed the ceremony held for local military personnel they had alongside the 16th fairway.
Anyway when Tiger hit the tee, so did the idiots, all screaming in unison first for everyone to close umbrellas as it was pouring out, then all the usual things as Tiger hit!!! By the time Padraig and Tim Clark teed off, there was maybe 200 people at the tee......
The rest of your rules, yep, yep and yep......
Please get off and stay off this thread if you’re going to fib about TWoods again. It’s very tiresome and just plain WRONG.
Thanks
G
Sit G In da house!!!
