Left-wing pressure groups Color of Change and Media Matters are claiming responsibility for getting Geico Insurance, Progressive Insurance, Procter & Gamble, and Lawyers.com to pull ads from Glenn Becks Fox News program.
The campaign against Beck picked up steam when the Fox News personality commented that President Obama was racist with a deep-seated hatred for white people.

Forgot about Buffett’s outfit owning GEICO. It was founded by a hard core conservative.
TV ads or no, the best car and home insurance I know of is Wawanesa, although unfortunately it’s only available in California and Oregon. You never see any of the big advertisers comparing their rates to Wawanesa’s, and with good reason. And the customer service has been great.
And no, I don’t work for them or get money from them in any way. Just a helpful tip for my fellow Freepers, especially any who want to change from Geico or Sociali— I mean Progressive.
yes, and I hate both their ads......and folks, from what I hear, you don’t really “save” anything.....good riddance to them....
It is an organized protest by ACORN and like minded organization members. They are trying to use Saul Alinsky tactics on minimizing Michelle Malkin and Glen Beck. Lately, they have brought a lot of attention to ACORN’s political subversion and corruption.
This is actually plausible. How sad is that?
If you do business with any of these companies pull out and let them know why.
Ironically, I’ve been thinking about pulling my insurance away from Geico. This help me with my decision.
Sarah Palin has it right when she says that Obama’s health care plan is evil.
Someone who does evil will have no problem saying any and every lie to hide the truth about what he/she is really up to. To see if they are lying look at their record. So far most every promise made has been broken.
Peter Lewis, is the chairman of Progressive Insurance Companies.
Check out just a few of Peter Lewis' donations: ACLU, America Coming Together, the democRAT party, MoveOn.org (Lewis donated millions of $$ to MoveOn.org, along with George Soros).
Stay FAR AWAY from Progressive Insurance!
GEICO, wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. Warren Buffett - no friend of conservatives - is the CEO.
I don't know much about Procter & Gamble and Lawyers.com...
Who cares? With his rating, there will be plenty to take their place. It’s always good to know who I do NOT want to do business with ever again. Piss on them.
I had GEICO car insurance over 20 years ago, and was fairly satisfied with the company. I was thinking of switching back to (supposedly) save money from our expen$ive MetLife auto policy. Now that I've learned that the CEO of GEICO (a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway) is uber-lib Warren Buffett, that also makes my decision easy to avoid GEICO.
Don't even think of giving any business to Progressive... Please see my post #69 regarding its chairman, Peter Lewis.
That will NEVER happen, I assure you.
We should demand return of their advertisments or we won’t buy/invest in their products. They’ll get so confused...they won’t know what to do.
ping
Well, all I can say is thank God there is one less show out there where I won’t have to watch that irritating shop girl who pitches for Progressive.
Conservatives can push back and urge everyone to not touch these creeps products or services. Notify each of them by calling their corporate headquarters. Two can play their game.
What these advertisers don’t understand is that conservatives and others who agree with Beck also buy their products. Or should I say — used to buy their products....
