The hysterical shouting isn’t doing anyone any favors. If people would stick to the facts, ask the questions that produce embarrassment due to the lack of answers and demand some accountability the movement would do a lot better than the Hitler crap. Extremists can be dismissed, rational people presenting facts and pointing out the mathematical flaws simply cannot be.

I think they could have made that point, which I agree with to an extent, without dismissing the town hall people out of hand and not mentioning the absolute frustration of all these people who are being ignored by their senators and representatives. That’s what these guys don’t understand. That people are sick of not being taken seriously, sick of being ignored, sick of being treated like crap, sick of their congress critters not reading bills etc etc. Like a local rep here in SC saying people should turn off Glenn Beck because he’s “marketing fear” and is “negative” but the guy is talking out of his butt because he really has no clue what Glenn beck talks about. As the guy on Beck’s show stated:
“STU: In all seriousness though, doesn’t this make a larger point? This is the same problem we have with these people when they are voting on bills without reading them. This guy’s got no idea what he’s talking about and he’s out there trying to convince the people of something that he admits he’s only heard a couple of times.”

I would agree under different circumstances. Unfortunately, we have seen the American people shut out of these meetings and denied the opportunity to ask the pertinent questions. We've seen congress people yell at professionals at the meetings. In many cases, the congressperson never addressed anything in the healthcare bill other than..."This is good for America and only selfish people wouldn't agree." (Talking points) All this AFTER they were promised discussions open to the public and transparence.

In addition to this treatment, they are being maligned by our elected representatives, called names and told to "shut up."

Like I said, under different circumstances, I'd agree with you but there's been no invitation extended to either view or participate in an open discussion on this topic.
