Me and my brothers, even when they were total metalheads, would sit down and watch that show after school every day. Bob was an awesome guy, and it was fascinating to watch him work.

His cult status is so funny to me. I loved watching him, too. How he could bring to life a scene by dabbing the whole end of the paintbrush to make a tree’s leaves; or shade/highlight (as snow) the branches with a very thin, white line. I especially loved when a scene was “reflected” in water.
Gosh, he made it look so easy.
