You’re all being so good! I’d say more, but I’m wrassling Frank!
I bought some single-serving flavored cocoas for my Knight.
It sounds like the girls are having a really good time! Isn’t it great when things like that happen??
Right now, I’m a little put out. Three times, now, I’ve left something at my friend’s house for one reason or another, and all three items have gone walkabout. This time, it was my first-aid kit (new) that was in the truck.
And I really need it, now, with blisters on my feeties.
Last time, it was two thick, fluffy pillows and the time before, it was a blanket. The last items were for his mother to use.
I suspect his ex- has taken what she wanted.
The photos of your chubby FRiend are awesome!! This one looks like his mom! What a cute little face!!
*smooch*
When Bill’s done his work for the day, I’ll have him put some on Photobucket. Frank was sleepy - that’s why he didn’t smile.
He sure was giving his fists a good time! LOL!
Yes, that’s his Fun Thing right now.
At the age of ten, my daughter could still fit an entire fist in her mouth.
:shaking head in amazement:
Evening! Frank crashed, finally. He’s been doing this around 7 every evening, which would be great if he wanted to sleep until 5 this next morning, but he doesn’t! I’ll have to get him up in a little while, but at least he’s been asleep over an hour.
I read some books to the girls and byos. There was a thread up this morning in which a remedial-English college instructor said that none of his students knew about Charles Lindberg, so I checked a book out of the library this morning and read it to them.
I saw Lindy’s biography last week, and it seems each time it’s aired, there is more information.
Seems he was quite prolific in Germany! Still, he did something no one thought he could do...fly the Atlantic non-stop. It was quite amazing for that time in American history.
The children’s book I got didn’t mention his pro-Nazi activities. It ended with his landing in Paris, and there was an end-note about his later life that was very cleaned up.
I was surprised that there wasn’t anything on the Netflix instant video selection about him, except a movie from the 50’s with Gary Cooper, I think. Or Jimmy Stewart.
Jimmy Stewart. And instead of a kitten, the movie featured a fly as his companion...”Don’t light anywhere...I can’t afford the weight!” Or something like that!! LOL!
I don’t like either Cooper or Stewart all that much.
I expected there would be a “Biography” episode at least, but maybe they’re only available on DVD.
The bio showed only a small clip of Stewart in the role. It was one of the most complete bios I’ve seen about him. It seems, after he denounced the Nazis (but not their ideals) he made friends with three German women and had a total of seven children by them, proved by DNA.
By that time, his wife was pretty tired of his absences. So he went to Hawaii, where he eventually died. It was only then that the truth of his wimmins came out.
Really!?! That’s very interesting.
But he did fly across the Atlantic anyway, and now the children know about it.
Yah. It was cool. Interviews of the children who would talk, as well as the mothers.
It seems he spent an enormous time away from home, because he had “business interests” in Germany. He would spend four to six months going from America to Frankfurt, Munich and another place (can’t recall) impregnating women and spending time with his children. It seems he was proud of his Germanic ancestry, but not enough to admit the paternity of all those children until after he died.
It was the mothers who put in the claims on his estate. And I don’t blame them!
Hey there! How ya’all doing?
Just fine, you? We got a Netflix beeber, and I’m watching the first season of Miami Vice.
zOMG! Did you get Moonlighting too??
Just got one thing to say.... NO SOCKS! Thats it... lol
I haven’t looked for Moonlighting yet (make note ...)
Digital transfer on some of the 70s/80s shows isn’t that good. I’m glad I didn’t buy “A-Team.”
He admitted it after he died?
Never mind. It's early yet, and meetings start soon.
