I agree completely. Mackerel Tabbies are fantastic cats. I had one one that I lost to illness about 20 years ago, and I still miss him terribly. He even liked strange cats that he’d meet, and want to be friends with them. He was taken aback when they’d respond with defensive hostility.

He’d wait for me on top of the garden shed at the end of my carport, and climb down as I passed coming home each day. He’d stay wrapped around my neck like a living scarf until I’d politely ask him (once) to hop down. He’d always go.

Miss you, Stripey guy.

I have 3 tabbies right now about 9 weeks old. Caught them behind a plaza living under a dumpster at 4-5 weeks old....totally full of crusted mange, worms, etc. Now they are beautiful and just about ready to be adopted....they are very sweet....
