I have to agree with you in several ways. Keyes used to refer to the parties as the republocrats in his radio show back pre gulf war I. Gotta admit a real disconnect with people who refer to ‘the party of Reagan.’
There is no party of Reagan.
He, sadly, was an anomaly. He put CIA one worlder Herbert Walker on the ticket to “balance” it, and hence we ended up on the road to UN governance. Then Clinton took the Reagan recovery and didn’t blow it, even took credit for it. Newt and the contract with America kept him sufficiently gun shy. So far, so good.
W had the house and senate, and pissed away the greatest advantage the republicans have had this century, setting up the parasitic regime we have now. Nothing since Reagan has happened by chance. The squabbles between parties and their supporters have been largely symbolic till now. Things that made Hannity, Jon Stewart, Coulter, O’Reilly et al rich. No more.
Now, the rubber is hitting the road. Sarajevo was a beautiful place when the Olympics were there. The thin veil of civil society...
As Zappa said “It can’t happen here.”
And Franklin ... “a republic, if you can keep it.”
Amen.
“W had the house and senate, and pissed away the greatest advantage the republicans have had this century”
Yes he did. Bush was guilty of NEVER defending himself
while the MSM hammered him relentlessly every day for years. The only time he stood up was to defend his horrible “no NEA member left behind” bill, and prescription drug bill. Oh, I forgot amnesty for illegal immigrants.....he fought hard, and twisted arms for that.
