(KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO) - It's been a viral sensation since hitting YouTube just two days ago. It's called MegaWoosh.
A man slides down a long water slide, and then is launched over a hundred feet, landing in plastic swimming pool. It's pretty amazing...But is it real? The Internet is on fire with debate.
{VIDEO AT LINK}
I still want to see Mythbusters do a segment on it. ;^)
Obviously fake for many reasons, most notably the lack of a pile of dead stuntmen from previous attempts.
What video were you watching?
Agreed. They need to head to Hollywood if it's faked.
Check out the clouds in the background as they zoom in the pool. It looks like a time lapse.
There is no way that guy had enough speed to fly that far. No way.
Y'know ... I know he's not real, but sometimes I feel sorry for Buster. LOL!
That’s really CUTE! Great video!
Men... They crack me up how excited and happy they are by the stunt! I love the enthusiam.
I believe the ‘flight’ was filmed in slow motion. (hence the small splash and intact legs)
When playing the video in slow motion, you see a mid flight vertical ‘bob’, like he was suspended from some sort of spidercam rig, that, when he came off the ramp, set up some dynamics. (note the ski lift(?) towers in the background that could possibly be used in such a setup)
During the flight, no bystanders move and the camera is wide angle when bystanders are visible.
I would think that someone traveling that (apparent) speed would have planed on top of the water like a water skier. (and exited the other side of the pool)
I say, well executed (and very cool) fake.
Sara......smile.
Fun!
BINGO!
