I’ll second the H&K. I have 9MM USP compact and it’s fantastic. If fits my hand, isn’t heavy, low recoil, and if you use hollow point/hydro shock rounds, it’ll stop someone just fine :-) I also have FMJ rounds, as a backup.

I third the H&K. I have a P30(pic in my profile). Fantastic grip. Up around 1000 rounds down the pipe and not the slightest malf in any way. It's still young, but there's not a hint of a problem with it.
