They stopped making them because they SUCKED.

They resolved the patent issues and continued to make them.
However, S&W removed the “Sigma” name from the branding and just used letters and numbers. I know a few people that bought the re-washed Sigmas under the letters/numbers and they were sorely disappointed.

I can’t say that I’m “sorely disappointed”. I got what I paid for. Doubt I’d ever carry it, but police use it, maybe because mine has never failed to fire. I have it stashed where I can reach it quickly.
